Montessori School at Educare Children's Center

Child Care

The Montessori method of education consists of a philosophy and a curriculum.  The philosophy explains the nature of the child while the curriculum supports the needs of the child.  This alignment provides harmony between the learner and the curriculum.

Our Montessori Kindergarten school offers an educational service for children ages 2 to 6 years old.  Enrollment is available to children within this age range regardless of race, gender, ethnic background, national origin, religion or disability. Returning students and siblings are given first admission.  Enrollment is open on a first come first serve basis. The center reserves the right to refuse admission based upon likelihood to benefit from the Center’s program.  A one time non-refundable registration fee is due at the time the application is completed.  If your child’s start date is one month or more in the future, a reservation form must be filled and 50% of a month’s tuition fee is required, which will be applied to the first month’s tuition, and is not refundable if you should decide not to enroll your child at the center.

Children in Montessori classes move freely around the room, choose their own work and learn at their own pace.  They learn the same kinds of things as children in traditional classes, but learning occurs through self-paced, hands-on activities rather than teacher-directed planned lessons.   The primary goal of Montessori is to help children learn concentration, coordination, self-discipline, order, and a love for learning.
